Throwback Thursday: Word Play

If you're one of those lucky folks who own the "Word Play" Stamp Set by Stampin' Up!, then you are quite fortunate indeed!  I recently discovered this little gem of a set the other evening at my Best Friend's house when we got together to stamp!

I found myself needing to make a few Get Well cards, two were for men.  I, myself, had no appropriate stamp choices for these particular cards, so I asked if I could peruse through her stash.  I found the Word Play Stamp Set and saw that this beautiful collection had so many different sentiments and gorgeous font choices.  It was just perfect for what I needed to use it for!

Here is a look at those sentiments and fonts:

Aren't they gorgeous!?  Of course, this set is now retired and it's going for a pretty penny online through eBay and other pre-owned sources.  BUT, if you already own it, then feast your eyes on what I made with our current product that features a couple of these sentiments!  You'll also get to see a Sneak Preview of some of the wonderful goodies that will be available September 1st in our Holiday Catalog!  Eeek!  How exciting!

Okay...no more talk!  Let's get to the cards!

This card features:

This card used a couple different retired elements.  I used a bit of sheer Cucumber Crush ribbon that has been hoarded for a while (are you like that, ever???)  Here's what I used:

Lastly, this card showcases another NEW product that will be in our Holiday Catalog!  Here's what was used:

If you have this set, break it out and pair it with some of our current product!  It's wonderful!!!  I think I may have to pay the little extra and get it for myself!  ;)

Until next time, Friends!

Tutorial Tuesday: VIA Coffee Holder

Are you following me on Pinterest yet??  If not, please do!  There's a bunch of amazing goodness there!  One of which, is an extremely popular pin---my VIA Coffee Holder. I enjoy trying new things and one day, while wondering the aisles of my local Target, I stumbled upon these new little packages of coffee, called "VIA".  It's by Starbucks and they are instant coffee singles.  Whhaaat!!?  Naturally, (because I'm a victim of marketing) I bought some.  Then I thought, These are so cute!  I want to do something with them and my Coffee Cafe Suite!   After that, my VIA Coffee Holder/Folder (whatever you want to call it) was born. I imagine you can see why this is not just my  most re-pinned pin, but it's pretty popular on Pinterest, in general.  Woot! Now, my friends, I will show you how to make your own with my Tutorial Tuesday! Supply List: Cardstock (I used Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz, and Crumb Cake for the samples above) Check out the Coffee

September Challenge: Drink More Water!

Do you drink lots of water?  I don't!  I've found that I am hard-pressed to get even 8 ounces of water in my body during the day and that is no bueno!   I was really beginning to see the signs of dehydration---including a lack of energy and irritability!  (Yes, that's a real thing!  Check out the symptoms of dehydration here ). So, I decided to do something about it.  I decided to start drinking more water.  And I read more about water. It's no secret that water helps with your overall health; like aiding in weight-management , energize muscles , balance the body's natural fluids and improve kidney function .  But, I was shocked at how much water can help with your skin!  And for someone who is kind of fanatic about their own skin (yes, I am!) I wanted to know more! Did you know that your skin is 64% water?  So, it's safe to say that your skin health is directly correlated with your water consumption.  In fact, dermatologists and doctors have seen that wa

Tip Tuesday: The Eyes Have It!

Did you know that when it comes to creating a stunning look with cosmetics, your eye shape  has quite a lot to do with that?  It's true!  Take myself, for example.  I am one of the blessed individuals with a Monolid  eye shape (thanks, genetics) so many of the gorgeous shimmery "peekaboo" looks for eyes with visible creases (which is all the rest of you folks!) I cannot easily achieve.  *Sigh*. And just like clothing, one size and one style does not  fit all!  (I could never wear a romper, my short little torso just can't handle that!)  So, today's Tip Tuesday is all about learning how to identify your eye shape and some cosmetic tips for applying your make-up to bring out the best  for your eyes! Let's get started with a couple tips to check out your eyes: Use a good mirror---a handheld is good, a stand-up is better, and a stand-up magnifying mirror is best! Lights, please!  Artificial lighting is fine, provided you have a clear view of your eye, ther
