Simple Saturday: Give Thanks

A little paper, one stamp, and some linen thread bring today's Simple Saturday Creation to fruition!  You probably have most of these supplies sitting around your craft room, so use this layout for some Simple Saturday inspiration and craft away!

There's no dimension, no fancy cuts, not even a die cut in sight!  I simply let the Painted Autumn Designer Series Paper do the "talking" and added one simple banner with the "Give Thanks" sentiment from the Labels to Love Stamp Set.  I did add a little solid color cardstock to bring out the secondary color in the DSP (Cajun Craze) and I tied some Linen Thread to the banner piece (created with the Banner Triple Punch), but those "extras" aren't necessary (even though they took less than two minutes to add).

I'd love to see your take on this easy layout!  Share with me your Simple Saturday Creation!

Here's what I used to create today's card:

Top 10 Tuesday: 12 Days of Christmas Movies

Well, so instead of a Top 10, I'm changing it to a Top 12!  Because I love The Twelve Days of Christmas and I love Christmas movies and why not combine both together to make it 12 Days of Christmas Movies!?  I suppose we each all have our own opinions as to what Christmas Movies are *must-haves* on our Watch List, but I would like to think there are some that just generally required, by public agreement.  So, here's my Top 12 Days of Christmas Movies List, complete with a FREE Printable so you can make this a Holiday Bucket List Item, if you'd like!  I'd love to hear if your favorite movie made the cut or not! OH---and one more thing---these movies are certainly not listed in an specific order, they are more in the order in which I may or may not have already watched them... (#SorryNotSorry!) 12.  The Santa Clause (1994) When this movie first came out, I was totally entranced by the interpretation of the North Pole, courtesy of Disney Magic, that I almost bel

Lent 2020: Day Two

Today's post is brought to you by...COFFEE.  I'm not going to lie, I really did consider giving up coffee for Lent, but when I mentioned it to one of my best friends, his response was "well, I'll see you in 40 days!"  I was kind of shocked at his lack of support, but then I read a post that was shared with me regarding Lent and some "food for thought" and one of the bullet points read "Don't give up coffee. Jesus will forgive you, but your family might not."  Well---I heard God loud and clear on that one.  Don't give up coffee.  And I'm so very glad I did not. See today, I had a TON of things to accomplish.  We're gearing up for a big weekend and I had quite the laundry list to do.  Not only was my laundry list (and my laundry basket) huge, but I didn't sleep well last night.  I had a very restless husband, so I put myself out on the couch.  Which wasn't terrible, but it wasn't exactly great, either.  So I already

Tutorial Tuesday: VIA Coffee Holder

Are you following me on Pinterest yet??  If not, please do!  There's a bunch of amazing goodness there!  One of which, is an extremely popular pin---my VIA Coffee Holder. I enjoy trying new things and one day, while wondering the aisles of my local Target, I stumbled upon these new little packages of coffee, called "VIA".  It's by Starbucks and they are instant coffee singles.  Whhaaat!!?  Naturally, (because I'm a victim of marketing) I bought some.  Then I thought, These are so cute!  I want to do something with them and my Coffee Cafe Suite!   After that, my VIA Coffee Holder/Folder (whatever you want to call it) was born. I imagine you can see why this is not just my  most re-pinned pin, but it's pretty popular on Pinterest, in general.  Woot! Now, my friends, I will show you how to make your own with my Tutorial Tuesday! Supply List: Cardstock (I used Early Espresso, Pear Pizzazz, and Crumb Cake for the samples above) Check out the Coffee
